Events, terms and places I have often heard of, assume a new significance as I read about them. Learning becomes a hobby and knowledge comes by way of amusement. Sometimes I go to the pictures or attend a lecture given by a famous scholar. I make enquiries of my friends or of my neighbor in the hall, but often I get no satisfactory answer, and then I remember my faithful friend and adviser--my favorite Encyclopedia-and decide to consult it on reaching home. Often after returning 'from school, I have rushed straight to my study and consulted this useful book, even before changing into home clothes or greeting anybody in the house.
I have often, out of happiness at a new discovery left my study shouting as if I were Archimedes running out of his bathtub exclaiming Eureka! My friends, my classmates and my teachers all admire the depth and width of my general knowledge they think I have a special tutor at home who teaches me a lot of things daily.

What he finds is a fence, a large fence and behind it, a child. Curious, he walks over and begins to ask. The boy is called Shmuel, is 9 years old and Jewish. From that point, they become friends. Gradually Shmuel tells Bruno his sad life, how many people lived and how they were moved there. Bruno sees how comfortable and easy his life is. The cause was leaving, as he was leaving to go to Berlin again. However, it starts to rain and a lot of people, young children and adults, are put into a big chamber room.
Bruno does not know what is happening and sees a huge mess but the kids are together. His mother and Gretel returnes to Berlin after failing to find Bruno. His father, becomes apathetic and thinks only of his missing son until he realizes what could have happened and will never be forgiven, because as a soldier might say that Hitler killed his own son.
This book is very simple. I read it in 2 days, is easy and nice with a beautiful ending. Babi, the protagonist, is a student and the perfect daughter. Hache, the protagonist, is a violent boy. I like this book because it is about the women in war in Colombian. The book was written by a woman. Women help colombia to get peace but women are discriminated and they are silenced.
