However, love prevailed and he followed my mother down to Florida where they soon got engaged, both earned degrees, and got married. My parents moved to West Springfield, Virginia when my father completed his degree in search of better paying jobs and to be closer to family.

Although my parents were married at twenty-one-years-old, my mother waited until she was twenty-nine-years-old to have her first child.

At the time, my father was working the night shift as a security guard, a fairly unstable job. My mother decided that she wanted her husband to have a stable career before bringing children into their family.

My parents both became employed at the Pentagon in computer security positions, and soon, I was born. Two years later, my brother arrived and we moved to our current house in South Riding, Virginia. I strongly admire my mother for this. My paternal grandmother was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in She was born to very unstable parents and was often left alone. This loneliness fueled her desire to have a large family, and she did just that.

My grandmother was raised in the Catholic Church and still practices Catholicism to this day. In the fall of , when my grandmother was twelve-years-old, she and her family moved to Hannibal, Missouri where her father had a job offer to work on the railroad tracks.

Her husband, my grandfather, was born in Hannibal, Missouri in As a child, his parents divorced and his father remarried. Although I have never met my grandfather, I am told he had an undeniable southern charm. At seventeen-years-old, my grandmother married my twenty-six-year-old grandfather.

They met at a military dance a few months after my grandfather returned home from World War 2 and, a year later, they were married. Within a year of being married, my grandmother gave birth to her first child, a son. My dad is the youngest of nine children. Although my grandmother wanted to go to secretary school, she decided to take that route of a homemaker. My grandfather was a judge on the Missouri State Tax Commission and was the breadwinner of the family. Although neither of my grandparents went to college, they did very well for themselves.

My grandmother worked at a daycare facility to support the family when my father entered Junior High School. Even outside of school, my father remembers his parents as stoic and distant.

Upon graduating high school, my father decided to join the military, hoping to make a career out of it. After meeting my mother, my father attended a community college in Jacksonville, Florida and transferred in to Florida State University. While there, he studied Criminal Justice hoping to get into law enforcement. My mother was from Fairfax, Virginia and my father was from Hannibal, Missouri.

The stark contrast in the socioeconomic differences between Fairfax and Hannibal are great. Fairfax is credited with one of the best schooling systems in the country, whereas, in Hannibal, at the time, few people graduated and went on to get a higher education.

However, my father got a good work ethic from my grandfather and worked at a lumberyard to pay tuition. A year after my parents married, my grandfather passed away while in a coma caused from pancreatic cancer. With a strong presence like my grandfather no longer around, my grandmother is now the glue that holds the family together.

On sacred days, she takes us all to the temple. She is a vegetarian and observes fast on every Tuesday. My grandparents always praises her. She, on her part, serves them as their daughter. I spend a lot of time with my mother and play indoor games with her.

She is so close to my heart. I am a student of the 9th class. I am good at studies. My father loves me very much. I love my younger brothers and sisters and help them in their studies.

My younger brother, Bablu, is very naughty. He tears pages from my books and spoils my exercise books. All of us love him. He is fond of talking and playing outdoor games. It is a pleasure to play with him. Ajay is fond of kite-flying. My three sisters are Ruchi, Madhu and Rukmini.

My sister, Ruchi, is interested in painting. No matter what our attainments in life, there is still a vacuum, an emptiness, and the most disquieting loneliness. Sometimes, our family history can influence us. So I interviewed my father and my sister. There are 9 people they are my grand-parents;aunts;and my uncles. Although my father is from the south of China but his great-great-grandfather lived in the north of China.

Because that time in China, there were too many wars ,people had to leave their home to other safe provinces. Other way to say this is originally of my family lived in two or three Chinese provinces.

They all struggled for freedom and democracy! My father said he was proud he come from a military family. My grand father he lived through world war two and the new china war. He always if gave him one more choice to join the army or live like the normal,he would choose the army, because he loved the army too much! Form that time my father was a business man.

In they had their first daughter,my oldest sister. In my dad had his own company and at the same time my second sister was born. After that they moved to a new city and bought our first house in that new city. In is important to me because I was born that year.
